Appendix 3

This is a set of links which compliment this guide. I definitely recommend all these places as being invaluable sources of info to help you make choices and fill you with ideas that can make the whole experience less expensive, easier, and far more enjoyable.

Wireless Theory and News

No list would be complete (and no wireless links list is quite so complete, including this one) without a major nod to the Personal Telco Project. If you want to learn more about how wireless works, open-networks, or theory, this is the place for you. They also have a wonderful map of open sites in the Portland area. Explore this site and you'll be a wiz in no time!

Another fantastic source for information and links and News about wireless. Explore FreeNetworks and read all you can. Most of this is concerned with people setting up networks that are an alternative to the internet, but much information can be gleaned here.
